My family made it a mission to have me horseback from an early age. Throughout the years I have been privileged to ride with many amazing horse people fueling my desire to learn more and be better in all aspects of horsemanship. I pride myself on having versatile safe horses and am proud to help my family, friends and clients to do the same.

Latifa Whitefall

I have been a member of Appleatchee for about 14 years now. For the majority of my membership, I had the pleasure of teaching and training a variety of disciplines. My background is in dressage, 3-day eventing and jumping. Over time this morphed to include and then focus on western events; primarily reining. I am currently taking a break from teaching and training as my career in real estate is keeping me very busy! I'm so grateful to have the opportunity to serve on the board and to give back to the community and facility that has given me so much!!

Trustee 2024

The Board of Trustees is authorized to manage both the maintenance and the operation of the Corporation, and to manage capital improvements all in accordance with budgets as approved by the membership.

Hannah Schneider

Hannah has been a member of Appleatchee for about 20 years, after her parents finally let her “try out” the horse thing when she was going through her horse crazy phase. That phase never ended. In those 20 years, Hannah has participated in about every horse discipline possible, from saddleseat to roping, in 4-H and WaHSET. Now, she spends most of her time at Appleatchee riding for fun with her family.

This is Hannah’s second term as an Appleatchee Trustee, and she looks forward to helping promote and improve an organization that has been an important part of her life for so long.

Bethany Symonds

Trustee 2024

The Board of Trustees is authorized to manage both the maintenance and the operation of the Corporation, and to manage capital improvements all in accordance with budgets as approved by the membership.

Bethany Symonds

Bethany has been a member of Appleatchee for about 20 years, her horse crazy phase beginning because she wanted to do everything her older sister did. Eventually, Bethany branched out from her sister, and began showing miniature horses in driving and in-hand classes in 4-H and WaHSET. Since Bethany retired her driving mini, Magic, she now enjoys riding her horse, River, for fun with her family.

This is Bethany’s first term as an Appleatchee Trustee, and she looks forward to learning more about Appleatchee, and figuring out the best ways to make it accessible for all the different horse disciplines.

“Appleatchee is one of my very favorite places to visit for a horse show! Being an equine photographer, I visit it quite a bit, whether it's for a show or for a portrait session for the boarders and their horses. I'm incredibly lucky to live only 10 minutes away from this gorgeous facility.”

Geisha E.

"Outstanding show barn but arenas and areas to ride as well. Cattle on grounds for events and they do an outstanding job of grooming to fit your needs!"

Kathy W.

"We love Appleatchee!  Very clean, people are very friendly and so many places to ride."

Gabrielle S.

"Good People Nice facility with an indoor riding arena"

DeEtte P.

"I come from the Seattle area and this place is amazing. There's a huge variety of horseman (women) but from what I have seen, we all have the same goal: horsemanship and enjoying our horses. I am lucky to be a part of this facility"

Juliane H.

"this place is amazing! If you ever visit you HAVE to climb saddle rock. Absolutely stunning views up there. The stables are pretty nice, and you can put horses across from each other so they can see each other and plenty of alleyway space. There is also a really fun obstacle course just past the road that has bleachers for people who want to watch. The obstacle course has some jumps, but still plenty of room for people who don't want to jump. The arenas are very nice and spacey, although the J.S. Sparks arena has only 1 set of bleachers, but the lower one has plenty. If you board there, the horses can go outside in a little mini paddock. Also, there is plenty of room for campers or motorhomes. The outdoor arenas are very nice as well, and the round pen has very tall walls so horses can't jump out. Overall, it's a very nice place you should definitely visit sometime."
